Tour Itinerary – 6 day Kruger Safari
Day 1 Arrival/ pick up day
We pick you up from your hotel, guesthouse or other pick-up point in Johannesburg and travel along the High veld grasslands to our Game Lodge in the Kruger Park. Drive time is approximately 5 hours and we make a few pit stops along the way. We have lunch in Dullstroom or Nelspruit.
Once we arrive in Kruger you have some time to settle in at your chalet, unwind at the bar or relax in the tropical gardens or around the pool. Later we board an open land cruiser for a 3 hour exhilarating sunset game drive during which you will experience the magnificent fauna and flora of the Kruger. Later we watch the spectacular and breath-taking African sunset as the sun descends in the West.
After dark nocturnal animals jump to life as our spotlight brings them into view. After the game drive you will enjoy a sumptuous barbecue (bush braai) dinner in our boma and have the opportunity to share memorable moments with family and friends. After dinner, we continue with our night drive after which you overnight in your en suite air conditioned chalet.
Day 2
At the break of dawn you can enjoy a cup of coffee and biscuits. We then drive to a remote location near the Olifants River from where you will enjoy a fascinating 4 hour bush walk. Your rangers will show you some amazing secrets and enigmas of the bush. Even though you are accompanied by armed rangers, expect some adrenaline rushes during this adventurous walk in the wild.
After your bush walk we return to base for a tasty brunch. Later you can enjoy some own time during which you can rest, swim, read and do pretty much as you please. After a late lunch we enjoy another fascinating game drive in Balule big 5 reserve in Greater Kruger. Dinner at our boma completes another amazing day in the African bush.
Day 3
This day we will spend in Kruger National Park. We drive to the Orpen-Satara-Nwanedzi region in Kruger Park in a custom-built open-sided game viewer. You will view wildlife without the restrictions of intervening windows. The elevated height of the land cruiser provides an enhanced game viewing experience that brings to life the sounds and smells of the bush veld. Here the open plains attract large herds of zebra, giraffe and antelope. These herds in turn attract lion and many other predators. Expect a very exciting day in Kruger with many fantastic photo and video opportunities.
Day 4
After a hearty breakfast we drive to the Moholoholo Rehabilitation Centre. Here you will learn about the important work required to rehabilitate injured and orphaned animals. This is your opportunity to get close to some of the animals, including lions and leopards. This experience will also improve your insight and understanding of Wildlife Conservation. We return to Tremisana for a light lunch. Later in the afternoon we drive to the Tshukudu game lodge where you will enjoy high tea. Afterwards we go on a game drive during which the chances of spotting the big 5 are pretty good. Return to our lodge for dinner and a peaceful sleep.
Day 5
This is another day exciting day of game viewing in Kruger Main. Your rangers will do their best to find and show you any animal you have not yet spotted.
Day 6
This is your final day of the bush safari and we start with an enjoyable sunrise game drive. After breakfast we travel via the Panoramic Route and marvel at some scenic splendours including the Three Rondawels and the Blyde Canyon. Sadly the time has arrived to return to Gauteng in the late afternoon. Airport and other drop-off by arrangement.
