7Day/ 6Night Amazing Zimbabwe tour Big Five Lodge Safari

TOUR OVERVIEW

 Amazing Zimbabwe waterfalls tourHighlights: Victoria Falls, Hwange National Park, Rhodes Matopos National Park, Great Zimbabwe Ruins, Antelope Park, Harare City. This tour takes you to Hwange National Park, famous for its huge numbers of elephants as well as a wide variety of resident wildlife. From there you continue on to Rhodes Matopos National Park famous for having a large concentration of black eagle and leopard. You may also come across the white and black rhino! From your stunning base at Matopos Farmhouse you have a day to see the grave of Cecil John Rhodes and take a guided walk to the “world View”. You then witness the magnificent splendor of the Great Zimbabwe Ruins on your way to the Antelope Park near Gweru town.

Your itinerary will end up with a visit to the capital city of Zimbabwe – Harare. The fare well dinner in Harare will mark the end of this great trip and the next day you will say goodbye to your guide as we will drop you at Harare international airport.

Day 01 Arrive in Victoria Falls

Meet and greet with ANAPA Travel Zimbabwe Staff at Victoria Falls international Airport. Transfer to Ilala Lodge in Victoria Falls, later in the afternoon, visit the Victoria Falls on a guided tour. Dinner and overnight at Ilala Lodge.

Day 02 Drive to Hwange

Depart Victoria Falls for Hwange National Park. Today we spend our day at the Painted dogs conservation project Centre in Hwange learning how these special protected animals are surviving. Hwange National Park is one of Africa’s finest havens for wildlife and is home to vast herds of elephant, buffalo, and zebra as well as a very large concentration of giraffe. It is also home to many predators and endangered species plus very large and varied bird life.  The whole of the next day is spent exploring this magnificent area. Dinner and overnight at the Hide Camp.

Day 03 Hwange to Matopos National Park

Early morning game drive in Hwange National Park before we head on to Rhodes Matopos National Park. Arrive in Bulawayo city and do some shopping before we proceed to Matopos Farm House. Visit the grave for Cecil John Rhodes, explore the Bushman Cave paintings and visit to see the famous balancing rocks of the Matopos. Dinner and overnight at the Farmhouse lodge.

Day 04 Matopos to Great Zimbabwe Ruins

We leave the Farmhouse early in the morning for a game drive in the game park. Spend the rest of the morning in the park looking for rhinos. We will leave the park before mid morning and drive to the famous Ruins of the Great Zimbabwe .Afternoon, our guide will take you on a guided tour of the ruins. Later in the afternoon, we will check inn at Norma Jeans lodge.

Day 05 Great Zimbabwe Ruins to Antelope Park

Today we will have a leisurely breakfast before we depart great Zimbabwe Ruins for Antelope Park in Gweru. The drive for today is not that long. We will arrive at Antelope Park in the mid day and rest till late in the afternoon when we would join our local guide for a lion walk tour.We will also select some other activities to do like canoeing, elephant ride or even horse riding safari. Dinner and overnight at Antelope Park.

Day 06  Antelope Park to Harare

We will remain at Antelope Park till mid day when we would head on to Harare, the capital city of Zimbabwe. We will arrive in Harare before dark and check in at a city hotel in Harare and on this day, we will have our fare well dinner together.

Day 07 Transfer to Harare International Airport.

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to Harare International Airport for your flight home/ or you can just be dropped in the central city of Harare. Our tour end up in Harare. !

Accommodation/Travel

You will be picked up from Victoria Falls International Airport and you be dropped off at Harare international Airport. If you will be arriving in Victoria Falls on another different way, then we will contact you to find out where we can pick you up.

Safari Type : Lodge Safaris

Accommodation: During 6 nights of your safari, you will stay in mid-range Lodges, Chalets and Tented Lodges. Accommodation is situated either in National Parks, on the banks of a river, or in other places of interest. Most accommodation options have a private bathroom with a shower and toilet, whilst others have shared ablutions available. Some properties are equipped with swimming pools and/or bar areas.
